After having some breakfast in our lovely apartment, we ventured back to the precinct to find the Tourist Information centre, we needed to get just a day ticket for the Buses and Ferry and find out what zones we needed them for.
Once we had got the tickets we actually decided to walk over the bridge we walked on last night towards the West End of Brisbane. Once we arrived close to the Commonwealth bank there, an argument broke out amongst a group of Aboriginal women, it was actually quite funny to watch. I saw some beautiful flowers along the way.
I liked the West End it has an interesting mix of shops, cafes and bars
We walked around the West End for sometime before taking the Bus back to Queen Street Mall. We popped in Burger King for a quick bite to eat before heading towards the Ferry terminal on Brisbane's river.
We took the Ferry first all the way from opposite side of Southbank to Queensland University and then back along the river all the way along to Appolo Road, back from Apollo Road to get off at Southbank. raine wanted to show me the amazing man made beach, as well as Southbank itself.
Its hard to believe that this exists in te centre of any city but it does. On one of the pictures above there was a water feature, I wanted to record it working on video ...
We also took a walk through a small Rainforest, and saw the Nepalese Temple that was designed for Expo88. beofre walking back home.
Once we had sampled the delights of the Southbank we walked back to the apartment. That was pretty much our last day of the Holiday. We had tomorrow morning to still do things before flying back to Melbourne.
